Ergot and The Salem Witchcraft Trials

Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain mystic babes! It's the time of year for all things witchy, and that brings us to the topic of today's post: the Salem witchcraft trials. Be it through history class or just movies, almost everyone (at least in the US) has heard of the Salem witch trials. However, there are many different versions of the story. And a lot of what we are taught just isn't true. Here's the version that I was taught in school:

    Happy Bicycle Day!

Bicycle Day is an informal holiday celebrated by the psychonaut and plant-based medicine communities. It takes place annually on April 19th to commemorate the first intentional LSD trip. Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann first discovered the psychedelic effects of LSD while working on ergot alkaloids at the Sandoz Laboratories in Basel, Switzerland.

    The Decriminalize Nature Movement

In the dynamic realm of modern activism, a profound transformation is underway. Picture a revitalizing breeze stirring up echoes of age-old wisdom and reconnecting us to the natural world. Enter the Decriminalize Nature movement—a grassroots endeavor gaining momentum across diverse cities in the United States and beyond. But it's not merely about legislative amendments; it signifies a pivotal shift in our collective consciousness.

    Happy Magic Mushroom Day!

Magic Mushroom Day was created by Nicholas Reville in 2015. He wanted a day to pay tribute and educate people on the benefits of psilocybin-containing mushrooms. The holiday was intended to be similar to 4/20 and Bicycle Day. Like it’s predecessors, the holiday has already become less about education and more about partying.
