Balancing the Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra, also known as swadhisthana, is the second of the body’s energy centers. When it is balanced, we feel more creative and enjoy our lives. We have healthy sex lives and fulfilling sexual relationships. Bringing this chakra into balance also allows us to sit at our optimal weight and have plenty of energy.
Happy Bicycle Day!
Bicycle Day is an informal holiday celebrated by the psychonaut and plant-based medicine communities. It takes place annually on April 19th to commemorate the first intentional LSD trip. Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann first discovered the psychedelic effects of LSD while working on ergot alkaloids at the Sandoz Laboratories in Basel, Switzerland.
A Trip Among the Trees
Recently, those of us at Mystical Moxie went to a music/holistic wellness festival in honor of the solar eclipse. (You can read Heaven’s post about that here.) We spent a full four days meditating, learning about different plant medicines, and immersing ourselves in nature. We also took some acid, because what better to do on a camping vacation than take a trip in the woods?
What is Reality Shifting?
Imagine you could write a script detailing another reality and then wake up in that life at will. Even better, you can return to your previous reality at will, with only a prescribed amount of time having passed. Proponents of a practice known as “reality shifting” claim to be able to do just that.
Balancing the Root Chakra
The root chakra, also known as muladhara, is the first of the body’s energy centers. When it is balanced, it brings feelings of safety, security, and being grounded. We worry less about day-to-day things and feel more confident. Our lives seem to flow more smoothly and we find a sense of connection with those around us.
Secular Uses of Tarot
What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word tarot? Enablers on YouTube insisting that your ex is still in love with you? Con artists at the circus? Your weird aunt that’s super chill, but can’t make a decision without asking her cards first?
Whether you believe in psychic powers or not, you’ve likely had an encounter with tarot that was just a little much. Personally, it was the obsessive love readings that turned me off of tarot for quite a long time.
Happy Magic Mushroom Day!
Magic Mushroom Day was created by Nicholas Reville in 2015. He wanted a day to pay tribute and educate people on the benefits of psilocybin-containing mushrooms. The holiday was intended to be similar to 4/20 and Bicycle Day. Like it’s predecessors, the holiday has already become less about education and more about partying.
Flicking the Dream Bean
The African Dream Bean is said to cause vivid, lucid dreams in those that consume it. Many claim it has a long history of use by shamans.
